We are a new charity founded in 2022 by parents of transgender and gender diverse kids who realised there weren't a lot of opportunities for young kids questioning their gender to get together and meet likeminded people.

What we do

About Trans and Gender Diverse Kids Australia

Transgender and gender diverse youth in Australia face systemic disadvantage in Australia. Trans and Gender Diverse Kids Australia exists to represent the needs of transgender and gender diverse children
in Australia. We seek to support, affirm and celebrate the lives of transgender and gender diverse children, their families and carers and ensure that they are given every opportunity to thrive and flourish. We play a role in advocating for improvements to systems and services, and stand up for the rights of transgender and gender diverse youth, developing resources and enhancing our partnerships. We provide a safe space for families to find support, information and friendship.

We provide representation for transgender and gender diverse youth and strive for equality and safety for all. We create resources for trans and gender diverse youth and their families to help themselves and those around them navigate their coming out journey and find support within the community. We also provide peer-led, grassroots initiatives for improved health care, peer support, mutual aid and support groups for transgender and gender diverse people and their families.
